Based in Belfast, Alan Maguire has been a music photographer since 2003.

Specialising in live music, his work is regularly published by AU Magazine, BBC's Across The Line and an extensive list of regional and national publications. He has photographed some of the biggest acts, including Ian Brown, Arctic Monkeys, Bjork, Razorlight, Muse and Snow Patrol, but is just as likely to be found shooting smaller, less established artists.

The official photographer for the Belfast Festival at Queen's (Ireland’s largest International Arts Festival) from 2004-2006, his work was also part of 'Shot by both Sides', a group exhibition of Ulster Rock Photography from 1977-2004, as part of the 2004 festival.

A number of his photographs were also used on the sleeve of the eponymous Rodrigo y Gabriela album that went to #1 in the Irish charts in February 2006.

In September 2007, a selection of his photographs were part of the International Photography Exhibition as part of Dublin's Hard Working Class Heroes Festival.
